I have a gateway pc on my LAN and wanted to know which software is best for monitoring which websites are accessed by which lan pcs?

you didn't specify what, if anything, the gateway is doing.. is it just routing traffic with no logging ?

are you using something like squid proxy at the gateway ? http://www.squid-cache.org/

The gateway is simply using iptables to give protected internet access to all networked pcs.

in that case I guess you could a log rule to capture the web browsing data, then parse the log to see who is going where..
