Not to sound too out of it, but are there any good, easy to install free games for linux? I use RedHat (9 for now) and for the last while I've been fooling around with linux, learning the ins and outs by trial and error (often killing linux) and up to now I have not been able to play any games better than Tux racer (the penguin sliding down the hill is only so much fun)...and I tried installing a few cool looking 3D games (shooters and simulators are my preference) and up to now non have worked...sometimes because I can't download the required files, and sometimes just because it doesn't want to compile...Simple to install games please. anyone?

Can someone please design an installer for linux based programs to make it simpler!!!
