game controller

i just got a propad advanced controller for games. its plugged into my sound blaster live gameport. anyone know how i can use it in linux?

Depending on your kernel configuration(and version) you need to load whatever module works with that controller. If you know it specifically works for Linux your in luck, if you don't you might have to do some web searches to see if anyone has had luck installing it with another driver.

If you've never played with the kernel(like compiled it from scratch) I'd look at the howto, generally it'll be as simple as adding a few lines to your existing configuration, but it could be a bit more difficult than that.
