gAim won't connect w/out connecting w/ aim first...

ok... um basically I have both aim and gAim on my RH 9 box.. and for whatever reason, I'll connect w/ gAim and it will connect, then immediately throw me off... so then ill connect w/ Aim and it will work fine... then I'll close Aim and it will still keep working... does anyone know why it might be doing this/ how i can fix this so that I can just sign on w/ gAim and never have to look at Aim again?

It sounds like those two programs are clashing. Use only one of them and see if that fixes your problem. If you only want to use Aim and not any other im's, and you have it installed and working right, stick with Aim. If you want to use other im's too, then uninstall Aim and stick with Gaim.
