Gaim question

I want to remove a yahoo buddy list from my Gaim buddy list, but it won't let me. I don't want to use that account anymore and I want to get rid of the buddy list from it. I've tried deleting the account from Gaim. I've even tried uninstalling and re-installing Gaim. This is pretty irritating, does anyone know how I can delete the yahoo list?

I've had problems removing groups and buddies, too.

Sometimes if I delete a buddy, they'll show up again on next login -- under a new group called Orphans.

It IS irritating, but I think it's because it won't do anything but add users to the AIM database of your buddylist. Don't quote me on that, I haven't really looked into it

I'm not sure about yahoo.

I haven't yet found an option to permanently remove your buddies... but you can edit the files in ~/.gaim and remove your buddies that way. Do not have gaim running while you edit the files.
