Gaim Ports

So i'm confused, on my linux box i have no problem with gaim and my firewall, on the other side of the disk i'm having a hell of a time working with my IPsec firewall and Gaim, i have 3 protocalls i want to use AIM/ICQ, MSN and Yahoo. each on their own work just great, but if i try them all into Gaim and turn on my fire wall, my connections get dropped 1 2 3... any suggestions(besides "yeah, don't use windows")

thanks in advance
