gaim plugins


ive got gaim plugin that is a pearl script and i read on the FAQ to put it in ~/.gaim/plugins or $PREFIX/lib/gaim and i created ~/.gaim/plugins and put it in there and it didnt work but i cant seem to find $PREFIX/lib/gaim

do a locate on gaim and grep put lib.something like this:
locate gaim | grep lib
this will give you $PREFIX/lib/gaim

ok..on my system...gaim is installed in /usr/lib/gaim.in there i can see many .so files.these are the libraries.
check to see if you have something like /usr/lib/gaim
if you do...congrats...else give me something more to work with.

I'm having the same problem

I'm trying to install the extended prefs plugin. I tried creating the plugins folder and putting it into /usr/lib/gaim where all my other plugins reside. Neither way seems to work. The extended prefs ends with .c, I don't know if I'm supposed to convert or compile this first or what, but it doesn't work. Anybody else get this working?
