Gaim Plugin problem

Hey all,

I'm running SuSE 9.3 on my Toshiba laptop, and switch often between Gnome and KDE while I'm still in the linux learning curve.

I've got Gaim installed, but did it a while ago and don't remember exactly what I did since I ran into a bunch of problems with YaST not starting for the RPM. It does seem to have been installed directly into the folder where I downloaded the program. It's got a plugins folder, a doc folder, pixmaps, and sounds.

Everything runs fine in Gaim until I try to install new plugins. I downloaded the Guifications plugin and successfully installed it with no errors. In the INSTALL file, it says that all I should have to do is restart Gaim and it would be in the Plugins section of the Preferences. Unfortunately, it's not listed. Neither is another plugin that I installed with no errors. There's also no option that I can find to browse for new plugins.

Is it because Gaim was installed improperly or something? Or am I doing something wrong that I didn't read about?

Any help would be great!!!

Thanks,
Matt
