GAIM installation problems

I recently removed the version of gaim that came w/ redhat 9 so i could install the most recent version of the program. i downloaded the rpm and when i installed, i got the message
gtkspell is needed by gaim-0.75-0rh9
libgtkspell.so.0 is needed by gaim-0.75-0rh9-2.0.4
libtk8.3.so is needed by gaim-0.75-0rh9
so, i went online and downloaded gtkspell-2.0.4.tar.gz to fix the problem, but i have no idea where to put the files or where gaim installed to. any help is much appreciated :).

It's easiest to get .rpms for the programs you want to install. Check out a website like www.rpmfind.net. Search for those three packages and download them.

One they are downloaded, install them like you were installing gaim. Once they are installed, gaim should install fine.
