gaim configure can't find ssl libraries


I am trying to configure gaim with ssl supporton in redhat(I got it to work with slack). I am trying to use my mozilla nss libraries. They are in this directory /usr/local/mozilla. when I do my ./configure it is not finding them. What do I need to do?

./configure --help

You're able to specify where the nss libs are.

I tried that it did not seem to work. I might have used wrong sntax or somthing. I will try again
