Gaim "buddy delete"

When I delete a buddy from my gaim list and restart the "Gaim " the buddy will appear again. Any ideas how to remove someone from list?

I'm not sure if it is a bug in Gaim. But when I type "r" and press enter. .. it prints "are" .. Is it a bug? Or some sort of unwise shortcut?

Thanks

I don't know about the problem you are having with the buddy delete. You could go into the buddylist file in /home/<user>/.gaim and try removing it that way.

However, it sounds like your "r" to "are" issue may be because you have the spelling plug-in turned on. Go into the config and make sure that plugin isn't on.

Thanks. I edited my Gaim list manually. The spelling script is installed with Gaim. But why it just spell the "r". When I type instead of hi "hy" it outputs "hy" .

It probably doesn't have a spelling correction built in for a word typed as "hy". It just has a number of preset spellings to change into different words. I am pretty sure there is a way to turn it off. Look around in the preferences.
