Question Gaim away messages?

Does anyone know where away messages for Gaim are stored? I assume they are stored somewhere on the hard disk, since after a reinstall they're no longer available, but my .gaim directory contains only my buddylist and an empty directory called "smileys". I've been wondering about this for quite some time, since i've got a large collection of away messages and backing them all up by hand is quite time-consuming. If someone could point me to the file, I'd be grateful.

thanks!

Your away messages are stored in a file called "status.xml"

It SHOULD be in the .gaim folder in your User Home directory.

eg. /home/user/.gaim/status.xml

Did you install via RPMs or from Source?
Installing them from source places the .gaim directory under the /usr section... (i think)

Hope this helps

Excellent! Thank you so very much, I truly appreciate it

For references' sake: I installed v0.71 (the lastest and greatest) from source on Slack 9, and it put .gaim under ~/.
