gaim and msn new mail

Hey all!

I have almost fully converted my mom to linux, except for one small thing she can't live without and i am having trouble implementing.

She is not very good with computers and when using msn messager prefers to click on that link on the top of messager that says "2 new messages," etc.. in order to check her mail(hotmail). I asked her to just log into hotmail and check, but she doesn't really want to do that.

From what i read i think gaim supports this, i'm just not sure how to get it to notify you of new emails, and also to keep some kind of button that allows you to connect to your inbox.

If anyone can help, i'd be greatful.

take care,

p.s. I did turn on intergration between evolution mail client and gaim, but not sure how to use it. I don't think my mom would mind clicking on a link and having it open another mail client. She basically just doesn't want to log into the webpage i guess.

:-)
