Question GAIM / AIM file transfer?

Can anyone transfer files with a buddy in either gaim or aim for linux?
I used to be able to, but in linux aim when i try to accept a file from anyone it says unkown error...anyone?

they both work for me but they're pretty flakey. gaim doesn't even support fule sends yet, just accepts (and i heard they're working on video chat support wth priorities..........) anyway one thing ive noticed is that neither can do folders.
