Hi ..
I'm tired of trying to connect to gaim,

I have set the network proxy ........is this in any way conflicting with gaim and not allowing me to connect??

I need some expert comments on this and also on the previous issue of not being able to compile Gaim

Are there any precompiled i386 availabe for gaim??

if ur usin apt, a simple :
apt-get install gaim
will work for u. it comes from the repository on freshrpms.net (thats where i pointed my source to). so, u will find it there too if u dont use apt.

but it doesnt seem like its a gaim install problem.
r u behind a firewall?
