gaim


i accidentally tried to enter an invalid buddy name into my msn accoutn though gaim-0.64
every time it boots, gaim tries to add this buddy and gives me an error
the buddy doesnt show up
how do i fix this?

I had the same thing happen to me, try upgrading your version to the latest (0.66) that fixed mine.

nope the upgrade didnt help but thanks fer tellin me there was a new version

as it turns out...
i added the buddy to my aim list, but under the msn protocol
i just had view the offline buddies and delete that sn

You could delete all your user data and start over again. I believe the data is stored in /home/<user>/.gaim/ and /home/<user>/.gaimrc

yup the buddy list files in ~/.gaim/blist.xml
you could take the name out of there too
