fuzzy X display on a quarter of the screen under Sarge
 

Hi all,

I just installed Debian Sarge and now struggling to get X up. I have a very old monitor that Nokia used to manufacture for Dell ref. 44BN (no references available anywhere on the web). So, the problem is that when icewm loads I get a fuzzy image at the right of theh screen. The same problem happens when loading Knoppix but Windows loads fine. The graphic card is a Cirrus logic GD 543408 Alpine which is recognized by Debian.
I changed the frequency and the resolution without any results. Any pointers? Should I change the resolution or the frequency?
