funny epel 404 error when adding repo

Heyho,

been tryin to add the epel repo recently to get stuff like wine but the following error is being returned:

Code:
[root@borgy ~]# su -c 'rpm -ivh http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-5.noarch.rpm'
Retrieving http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-5.noarch.rpm
curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404
error: skipping http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-5.noarch.rpm - transfer failed
any ideas what might be causing this i've check the url; countless times checked countless websites for different versions and i don't get it usually yum will add a repo/downlaod and install for me no problem.

Once added wil it update itself in the future automatically? Or will I need to manually make the change in the future.

Never seen any updates for "epel-release".

But then again, if there ever will be,
it will happen automatically at a # yum update
