fullscreen apps loose mouse and keyboard

hey
so yea i've been using linux for sometime and, well, this one stumps me.... it is new. i just reinstalled mandrake 10.2 and well
when ever i run a full screen app. ( zsnes full screen or mythfrontend ) i loose my mouse and keyboard... but if i run the same progams windowed they run fine.... ??? i'm running kde and a geforce4... now something that might be a part of the problem... i used to run my card with a tv and crt but it has decided to only dectect one screen even if i force it so i unplugged the crt ( who needs one anyways ) lol. so yea no mouse no keyboard. and before the reinstall everything was fine ( and the funny part is the first thing i allways get working is mythtv so i don't know where the problem is, but i suspect the video card )...

thanks
