ftp within SSH

I wondering if there was a way to ftp files while using the commandline program SSH. A program I have for Windows allows me to do this, taking advantage of the greater security of SSH to transfer my files. I'm almost positive that something like this must exist for the Linux SSH.

ssh should include the sftp command, which should do exactly what you described.
