ftp user, proftpd
I have two users in home on Debian stable: user1 and ftpuser.
Proftpd is configured so that it uses ftpuser for clients. How to set it up so that user1 can modify, delete, etc.. all files and directories that ftpuser creates? As it is, I use root for all that, but.. |
add the ftpuser group to the user user1.
Then modify the group file permissions on the files. |
there is no ftpuser group
|
I don't see a way to do it from Gnome.
the problem is worse now that I have moved proftp to virtual users. user1 in krusader sees ??? as owner of files transferred from ftp. only root can delete them :/ |
