FTP trouble.... Kerberos V4 issue

All,

Well, I'm currently using Mandrake 9.1. My system's a dual-boot with W98-lite

Anyway, I have a shellscript that I work on to convert a data file into an HTML table.

All's well and good, so I decide to upload the resulting tables to my webpage.

So I FTP over to mywebpages.comcast.net just like I've always done, and lo and behold, there's trouble.

Apparently, Comcast's FTP server doesn't recognize Kerberos V4 for authentication. At least that's the message I get.

So I have to boot back to Windows, and either use something like WSFTP or the FTP client at the DOS prompt. Annoying to have to boot back to another operating system though.

But, while I blame this on Comcast's server not recognizing the authentication (along with other things about their web-page system that irritate the heck out of me), can I get around the problem somehow?

I've looked at the MAN pages for FTP, but I can't figure if there's a way for the FTP program to lie to the server somehow, or to use an older authentication form or something.

Any suggestions? Advice would be greatly appreciated.
