FTP Server that is GUI? Your not going to find any decent ones that are GUI as most are text/console based that run as daemons in the background cause most ftp or servers for that matter don't have X installed.

If you want a fast and secure FTP server though, that has a good track record and is easy to setup, go with vsftpd.

Thanks trickykid.

I managed to get pure-ftpd running in text mode, and it works.

Question now is:

I have networked my Knoppix Box with my XP box. The knoppix box is taking its connection from the XP box, via dhcp. Right now its

The Xp box has its own external IP, as well as an internal IP.

Is there a way I could get to the Knoppix ftp server thru the Xp box, externally?

So say I am at work, I would have to route my requests to my XP external IP, then have that go thru the internal network to my knoppix box...

Is that at all possible? I know I know, I am getting a router very soon!!
