ftp downloading crashes at 97.7Mb

I am trying to download the mandrake 9.2 cd's.
I have used four mirrors, three with opera and one with gftp.
Everytime the downloaded file gets to 97.7Mb in size, it crashes.
Is there something limiting the size of downloads or file sizes?
If so how do I change it?

I have plenty of disk space.
current os mandrake 8.2 with bastille firewall.

:tisk:
hi - i had a similar problem downloading slackware recently..
the best program to use to download large files is wget. That way if the connection fails at 99.9% you can simply re-connect & resume your download.

try it & see..

I've not tried wget yet, but both opera and gftp have a resume download function, but when I try the application crashes.

Solved

It was bastille.

/etc/security/limits.conf
has a line that says 'limit file size to 100Mb'
so I removed it and continued downloading.
