Frustrated Beets

I'm struggling to come to terms with Beets, which in theory seems very useful. In the hope there are some experienced users here, what should happen when "move = yes"?

Should I expected processed files to be moved to the destination (Directory)? It's not happening for me, of course.

Second, how can I set a useful automated behaviour for tracks that cannot be identified?

Third, why does beets report so many of my flac & mp3 files as "unreadable"?
