I run a local school's network. We're in the process of their website to a apache server hosted at the school. The one snag I'm running into is they use FRONTPAGE 2003 to do their web editing. And since they just purchased it I really cant tell them they cant use it. I've been looking over the FP extensions and I really cant find a clear-cut way to install them on Apache2. Has anyone ran into this issue before? Thoughts on the FP extensions? good/bad?

I have FP2002 and downloaded the 2002 Server Extensions at I was only able to get it working after reading one of the walk throughs. If you do a search on their site there are some walk throughs depending on the OS and extensions you are using.

I found your post in doing a search to see how others are handling getting rid of server extensions since MS announced "End of Life" for FPSE by 2005/2006.

I am pretty much fed up anyway with having to go through re-installation every time I update for an apache security fix.

So what are the alternatives if there is a end of life after 2005? I dont want to go to the trouble of installing it if I will be stuck after a year? And having to recompile on every apache update isnt too pleasing to me.
