from tapes to cd-audio


Hi... i want to convert my old tapes to audio-cds.. so i need an audio capturing program.. Have u got something in mind?

hello,

you could use 'qarecord' - very simple and easy to use, saves audio in wav format...

or, try audacity - much more powerful, a full-blown audio editor. i think there's a plug-in in there somewhere which will enable you to de-noise / de-hiss the audio...

oh, and on that subject - gnome wave cleaner is a terrific application for cleaning up analogue recordings - you can de-click L.P. derived material and de-hiss, etc...
