Unhappy Freezing with the whole Mozilla Family (Firefox and Seamonkey

Hello people,

After doing some research and not finding similar stuff I'm making this post.
I'm using slack 10.2 on a 1Gb RAM, AMD 64 x2 TL-52.
kernel 2.6.21
gcc 3.3.6
kde 3.5.4

I've been having serious problems with firefox.
In the beginning was the common problem of Flash, where the windows would close with firefox crashing on websites using flash. well, but now I'm having errors in all kinds of sites.
Even gmail sometimes makes firefox to close.
Now it got worse, Firefox simply freezes in situations where new windows are open, and by new window I mean from new browser instances to a confirmation dialog box or a warning. Even the bookmarking screen causes me this.

I thought it was a problem with package so I changed to the firefox available for download on the mozilla website. Tried the english and the japanese version but both of them have the same problem. Erased all plugins, even my folder .mozilla

After nothing working I decided to give Seamonkey a try. The same problem in the same points. I don't know more what to do because the page I want to feel a form doesn't open with Konqueror or Opera. My next step is trying to compile myself firefox.

Anybody has any sugestions about this problem? I'm going crazy losing my only fully working browser.

You didn't say what errors you get, so it's impossible to help much.
Launch Firefox in a console (preferably in safe mode), have it crash, and look for errors messages on the console.
/path/to/firefox/firefox -safe-mode

As I said, there're no errors. It just freezes. Completely freezes with no kinds of errors. I already tried safe mode before posting here. I already compiled my own version of firefox but as soon as I get the first problem it keeps freezing with a simple window or dialog box being opened. I tried to access linuxquestions through firefox and when came the warning of non-encrypted data it freezed. I tried to install a add-on and it freezed when the dialog box of installation opened. It gets better when I reboot the computer but as soon as the first error comes it goes like this. I'll try to recompile firefox with debbuging information this time. I'll try to post any useful information but I already gave everything I could.

close, firefox, freeze
