Freezing! How can i exit without destroying ntwork settings?

Well, the last time i tried to run alsa conf, slackware froze and so i turned off the power. This fucked up my router settings and i was unable to repair it. I freshly installed and then tried again (sound card didnt work) and ther same thing has happened.

I need to find a way to exit without fucking up these settings.

ANyone know a way?

thansk.

I understand you're frustrated, but the language won't help. Anyway, I'll leave that to the mods.

First off, is your kernel really freezing? What do the system logs show on reboot? You should be able to configure alsa without alsaconf. Also, you should check to see that your router settings do get restored on a reboot: though linux is not like windows with reboots, kernel upgrades do require them, and i'm sure you'll want to shut down from time to time.
