FreeTDS nerver gives

I have followed 10 different walkthoughs on how to configure, make and make install this software and I never get the file I need.

Does anyone know why this may be happening?

You will need a package like unixODBC installed before you build. If you use a prebuilt distro supplied package, make sure you install the corresponding unixODBC development headers and libs as well.

Thanks for that piece of KEY information. I know I do not have the development headers for unixODBC. I'll give that a shot today.
