FreeNX Service wont start

Hello,

Installed FreeNX via http://fedoranews.org/contributors/rick_stout/freenx/
and
http://wiki.centos.org/FreeNX Tutorials.

Installed the windows client, did the settings and copied the key. I login, it authenticates, then it says Session Startup failed.

hered the error:

Hi,

If somebody have problem with NX Clients versions 2.0.0 and FreeNX 0.4.x or 0.5.0, i wrote some wiki. You can watch and edit it here:
http://openfacts.berlios.de/index-en...roblem_Solving

or here:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/Talk:HOWTO_Fr....4.x_and_0.5.0

I had have same error and this wiki help me.
Hope that will help you too.

Is it possible to download the previous version of NXCLIENT for Windows? Or, is it better to migrate to 'NX Free Edition for Linux' instead of freenx? This is a lot of trouble.

If you patch freenx as is described in wiki from my previous post, all is working good.
The patches are from developer of freenx.
It's not hard to patch it.
Read wiki, edit files as is described and you can use freenx with all clients (today).
NX Free Edition for Linux is proprietary software, not opensource, it's your choice, if you will facilitate proprietary software or open source, which you can modify without restraint.
There is only one trouble, NoMachine change options, which client send to server, often.
Example: For comunication with server NX Client version 1.5.0 use 1.5.0 proto version, NX Client version 2.0.0 use 1.4.0 proto version (older), but from around 2.0.0-93 use 1.5.0 proto version. And now see, from version 2.0.0-98 NoMachine change option named 'backingstore', which client is sending to server. Before this change, client is sending this option with 'allways, when_requested ...', but now send only '1'.
Freenx is not bad soft, what is bad, there isn't fully function opensource client. That's all.
But as I wrote, IT'S YOUR CHOICE.
If nobody will use open source, nobody will develope it and everybody will use proprietary.
