Foxit reader may be faster than the Adobe product on Windows, but Evince certainly seems fast enough for me, and I'm not sure Foxit will prove faster. Besides, Evince has the panels too, and searching is as easy as typing the “/” key.
Still, it is good to have choice, and Foxit is a welcome alternative, just us Opera is a welcome alternative for web browsing. Such products help people coming to Linux.

haha~yeah. Foxit Reader is very cool. It gave me wonderful PDF viewing experience, faster, smaller, easier to use. Now Foxit release its Reader for Desktop Linux. Anyone who is interested in it can have a trial. ^o^
