foxit PDF reader
can any body tell where can i find foxit pdf reader (I mean in which repo).
I searched following http://www.foxitsoftware.com on website, they are providing rpm, but i have read that it is secure to install softwares from repos. |
secure,
That does not imply that you must limit yourself to ONLY software from your repos.
How much do you trust the company? If you trust them, download and install the RPM. IF not, use something else. (There ARE other choices!) |
Hello sandeeprpandey,
I saw your question over on CentOS.org but I was in the middle of a battle royal with the 6.6 upgrade hosing my printer so I could not answer at that time. I have used this product for years in Windoze and I have it installed on CentOS 6. I suspect this utility is not in any of the main repos. I would (and I believe I did) download the rpm from the vendor's site and then install it with the command Quote:
You would be well advised to use yum priorities to manage multiple repos. See the CentOS.org site for an excellent write up on how the priority process works. Ken |
Foxit
Foxit is NOT OpenSource, so you will never find it in an OpenSource repos. The vendor may run a Repo, and you could add that, but if it is just for one package I would just download and install per the above comments.
Your choice, of course. |
