four USB ports
 

I just bought a new Gateway 700xb with 4 usb 1.0 ports. I can only use devices on the first pair (by the keyboard and mouse ports). The other two ports work in Windows 98. Does anyone have any suggestions?

just a suggestion.. but you might wanna look into making sure that linux is loading your second usb root hub. if you have 4 ports, then you'll have two hubs... linux defaults to just looking for 1.

OK, the next question would be: How do I do that? Would that be in /etc/modules.conf?

I know /var/log/dmesg reports just two ports.
