Question ForceQuit in UBUNTU

I just can't seem to find this anwser on the Net.

Is there a way to forcequit an application in Ubuntu?

I don't want to use the kill command, but would like to use the combination keys like KDE.

This sucks not being able to kill an app from the desktop.

There is a panel app called Force Quit that you could use (right click menu --> Add to panel --> Force Quit). AFAIK there is no force quit keyboard combo for the Metacity window manager.
