fonts in thunderbird

I downloaded and installed Thunderbird on a machine running SuSE 10.0. Here's the strange issue: the fonts in a mail message that I receive or send are fine. All the rest of the fonts - for example, the top half of an e-mail, where the address goes - are very very tiny. I don't think this is a Thunderbird issue but a KDE issue. Any ideas? I had a similar problem with Firefox and a re-install fixed it.

hi, have you checked thunderbird's own font settings? i had a similar problem with small fonts in firefox, i thought it was a GTK2 problem, but it turned out that firefox uses its own font settings for some fonts, and as FF is related to TB maybe that could be the problem. if its not that it could be the KDE equivalent to the GTK toolkit? although i dont know what that is. im sorry im a bit of a noob but all my program fonts are controlled either by the programs themselves or GTK, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will help.

You have to change the Display Resolution setting in the Advanced Fonts dialog. I posted this solution already. Change it to System Settings and if it doesn't work then do Other and follow the dialog. Always worked for me.
