font settings won't stay in firefox

The default fonts in Linux were just way too small for my bad eyes. I installed the truetype fonts through the package manager, but when I try to use these fonts (or any other fonts) in Firefox, the settings won't stay. I can change the display resolution and other settings but not the fonts. They just go back to what they were before. Does anyone know what the problem could be, or how I could fix this?

I just figured it out. I had to select a profile first and then modify that profile. Weird that this wasn't set as default. :-/

Dang it. I take back what I said. My fonts are still coming up out of proportion and too small. Please help.
