Question focus on vlc window

i set my vlc to just allow one instance, so opening a video file from file browser will play it in current opening vlc window. but doesn't focus on the window directly, so i have to switch to the window by alt+tab or clicking its button on panel's window list. how to set it focused directly? thanks for help.
