FMS Interactive 3.0 Linux Crashing on CentOS 5 Kernel 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5PAE

Flash Media Server Interactive on CentOS 5

FMSI 3.0 crashing with *many* (2000+/sec) messages in /var/log/messages

Config:
FMS Interactive 3.0 on CentOS 5
Kernel 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5PAE #1 SMP i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
Processors: Quad Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 8214
8 GB RAM, 8 GB Swap enabled

Problem:

FMS stops accepting connections and throws the following error into /var/log/messages at a rate of 2,000+ messages per second:

Server[10924]: Failed to wait for process condition: errno(43).

/var/log/messages very quickly becomes huge -- this morning it hit 15 GB and filled my /var partition.

Only way I can figure out to recover is stop FMS and syslogd, remove /var/log/messages, and start syslogd and FMS. Server will run for seemingly random amount of time before this happens again. I have not been able to correlate this problem with any specific activity or streams.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

FMS Interactive 3.5 Error in Linux

Hi,

I am also getting the same error message in my Adobe fms 3.5 server running on fedora 8. There are lots of error messages in my /var/log/messages . The error messages showing are
Failed to wait for process condition: errno(22).
Failed to wait for process condition: errno(43).
The log file size is increasing heavily and also the video streaming is very slow.

It will be grateful if anybody help me to solve this issue.

Thanks,
Nikesh

The more I've used FMS, the more I've come to hate it.

I called Adobe about this bug, and they wanted something crazy -- $900 I think -- to even talk about it. I've pretty much given up on anything that's not open source any more.

Wherever I have a choice, its going to be Red5 instead of FMS for any Flash-related stuff: http://osflash.org/red5
