Fluxbox toolbar

Does anyone know how to make fluxbox show the window name in the toolbar for every window that it is currently displaying? Minimized windows show up there (I have "Use Icons" selected from the configure menu), but I want to be able to easily click to a window which is open behind another one but not currently maximized. TIA!

I believe this is not possible in the current stable release. However, if anyone is willing to prove me wrong I would be very glad. :)

Ok, I will try it

when you upgrade do you have to uninstall the old version and exit fluxbox?

You can run them both - just build/install the devel in a separate place and make sure you call the right one. And, yeah, you have to shut down the old one to run the new one.

One of mine is in /usr/local and the CVS is in ~/src/wm/flux and I just run it from there on those occasions that I run it.

Hm. I really don't know. Sounds like it's complaining about the format generated by an outdated automake, so you might try upgrading that package. I never got that error, so I'm not sure. Mine's 'automake 1.7.7', for what it's worth. If that is what that means. I guess run aclocal and see what happens? Then upgrade the automake package and run it again and see what happens? I tend to just flail around at random with compile errors until something works or I give up. *g*
