fluxbox styles

I know this is kind of a dumb question, but i was wanting to know how do i install fluxbox styles (globally or locally) and what is the difference between system styles and user styles??

Untar them to ~/.fluxbox for locals and /usr/X11R6/share/fluxbox or some such for global - system styles are what comes with flux or are added to /usr/blah and user is what you add to ~/.fluxbox. It should be defined in ~/.fluxbox/init.

Depends on the tar, though - you should end up with a ~/.fluxbox/styles and so on (with the style file(s) in it) but they may not be tarred correctly - txvf to check and make sure, of course.

This is one of the things I really love about Midnight Commander...enter a tar file as if it were a directory and simply copy the files over as if they were already extracted...saves me the bother of checking whether the archives are standard.

Huh. Cool tip. Had a mental breakdown. Or two. I knew mc could view the tar but never extended the concept to manipulating the files like that. :) I also screwed up the command, now that I see it again. :( tzvf.
