Fluxbox installation
Hi there, im running a mandrake 10 distro in a b0x and i downloaded the latest fluxbox manager from sourceforge. I make;make install blahblah but i cant open it cause i have to kill the X (i ve chosen to automatically open the X[startx] when its booting). I want to do the followings:
1. Add fluxbox to the panel with all the managers i have. (which file it is?)
2. Add root login in that panel (i can login to the X only with other usernames)
Suggestions?

1. /usr/bin/fluxbox probably. You can find it by typing "which fluxbox" in the terminal without the quotes.
2. That's a kdm option I think (no root logins). You should find the configuration file for it or the program that can edit it and change it if you want.

Yes if you can't login with root it's because it's blocked in that configuration.

I saw the kdm-config but there wasnt something obvious for the accounts. I also read the Xservers and there wasnt too something like `kde` or `gnome` . :|

According to some sites on the issue it says that you have to edit the kdmrc file (it's either in your home folder if you have a custom one or somewhere in /etc/, use find). There's line in it which is:
AllowRootLogin=false
Edit false to true and you can login with root

Doesn't it get added to the menu automatically? Then it looks like you've got to run some program called chooser which lets you add it.

Easiest way to me sounds reinstalling or putting a newer version of kdm over the kdm you use now
