damn everytime i run into this situation i appreciate my slack box more and more. It's bad enough i have to pay for software but then some asshole loses the cd's and i am screwed.
OR
just use slackware and when the cd's get lost burn another from the net. Why? because it's free and i can get it anytime i want.
damn slack is sooooo kewl.

Have you considered apt4rpm for package management? Give it a try, then apt-get install synaptic will give you a gui package manager much better than Red Hat's.

i have to pay for those what is this some campaign for capitalism. Why should i have to pay for a RH8 cd when RH9 is already out.
Didn't someone say if you love something you have to set it free.
I love linux and slackware is free.
Therefore, once again i choose slack

Redhat is free, all linux is GPLed. It can't be charged for, and you must give the altered source with any altered binary you created from it. Check RH's site for ftp mirror listings.
