fluxbox - configure error???

i am trying to install fluxbox on my rh9 box and i get an error during the configure ;

verification of x windows ; failed

it says i dont have x-windows but i do and i am running gnome at the moment?
i installed fluxbox on my other rh9 computer without a problem.

any ideas??

I assume you're trying to compile it from source. The (not so) nice thing about rh and mandrake are that they put files in various non-standard locations. what you need to do is figure out where your xlibs are, and add the path to them to, which should be in /etc or some some subdirectory of /etc. Once you do that, try ./configure again.

You could also just go to and find a binary for your system.
