fluxbox and mouse rate

I have one of those annoying and somewhat worn down eraser head mice on my IBM Stinkpad. I've never been an X-warrior, and up until a few days ago I've been a regular KDE user, where you can adjust the mouse rate in KDE. Is there a simple way to do this within Fluxbox? If not, I know there's a way to do it in X, which I'm mortally afraid of...

Hey Fin, did you try
it claims to work with stinkpads and there is another daemon espacially for thinkpads ... tp4d burried somewhere in the debris of freshmeat and
Anyway I couldn't find tp4d but at freshmeat's tp-scroll page it says: "...[tp-scroll] is not related to, but is compatible with, the Trackpoint hardware control daemon tp4d."
