fluxbox & alt key

anyone know how to get the ALT key working on fluxbox.. i just made my eterm all transparent with no menus and to move it around and resize it i have to use alt and right click.... CTRL and right click works but not alt

anyone know?

is there anyway to get normal keys working.. like alt+tab to load up a minimized window? etc..? i used to use openbox.. it was like that.. but fluxbox seems different..

if anyone can help me out it would be great :D

AFAIK, for moving windows it's ALT + left click (at least for me, in any WM -i'm using fluxbox and eterm as well-)...

Alt is the key to use, yes. It may be disabled - look in your home directory, under ~/.fluxbox (note the period) for a file called 'init'. Edit that with a text editor and find a line "session.useMod1", which should be set to 'true' for Alt to work.

it was already set to true.. and even when i hold down alt+rightclick.. i still get nada :(

well it kinda works.. but i dont know how fluxbox is... if i hold down alt+rightclick i can resize the terminal.. but nothing else.. i dont get a menu bar to ask if u wana move it places etc.. like in openbox
any other suggestions? :(

Well, I haven't used openbox, but the way fluxbox works is:

alt+rightclick: resize
alt+leftclick: move
alt+middleclick: lower (though this doesn't work for me)

At least, that is how it's supposed to work :-) To get a context menu like you mentioned, right-click on the titlebar. From there, you can iconify, raise/lower, make sticky, move to other desktops, etc.
