floopy boot failed


i installed my red hat 7.1 on a fat32 partition without installing lilo
i created a bootdisk for loading linux but everytime i tried to load linux through the bootdisk i always get this message

boot failed: please change disks and press a key to continue

i tried to reinstall linux but the problem is not solved

please help

I had same problem yesterday when I tried to install Mandrake Linux 8.0 on my old Pentium-S(75Mhz with 16MB RAM).
I struggled whole day, and I managed to fix it using OTHER floppy disk.
Try with other disk. Chances are you are using very very
cheap floppy disk. Could this (cheap diskkette) be a problem? I don't know. But it worked for me at least.
Give it a try.
