Flexbackup errors....... Need help please!
I have a Redhat 7.3 Server running at the office using flexbackup to run my nightly tapes (DLT 7000) and I keep getting this error after replacing tape drive, trying new tapes, using a cleaning tape and rebooting the system.
Here is the error that I am getting: afio: "-" [offset 2m+256k+0]: Fatal error: afio: "-": Broken pipe |------------------------------------------------ | Backup start: Fri Mar 07 09:18:47 2003 | Backup end: Fri Mar 07 09:18:58 2003 |------------------------------------------------ /dev/st0: Input/output error mt: The device is offline (not powered on, no tape ?). |------------------------------------------------ | Rewinding... /dev/st0: Input/output error mt: The device is offline (not powered on, no tape ?). | Compressing log (mnt-array.0.20030307.gz) | Linking mnt-array.latest.gz -> mnt-array.0.20030307.gz |------------------------------------------------ I need help trying to figure out why I can't get this thing to backup. Also how do you get flexbackup to span between two DLT 7000 tapes? Lee |
Have you tried www.flexbackup.org or mailing support@flexbackup.org? This may be a Flexbackup specific problem rather than a Linux issue.
