Flash Sound Lag

I installed Flash 6 recently, and I get sound lag as I get further into a flash movie, the further I go, the more lag. How can I fix this? I use mozilla, and this is what I copied from the about page:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030313

Another question, I have two sound cards, one is build into the mobo, and another is external. The external card is on /dev/dsp1, and in order to play sound, it needs a rate conversion from 44100 Khz to 48000 Khz, is there anything I can use to automatically do this rate conversion for me in anything I use? Thanks.
