is the problem only of sound or speed of the flash file?

If its a sound problem, you might need to configure your Sound Server (which is Alsa in KDE) and shut other applications using the sound server.

If its speed then, may be u need to check this website for appropriate results
http://www.macromedia.com (if u can see the menu's then...its working properly)
